Por que fazemos isso?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Os membros do SCF ocupam uma posi\u00e7\u00e3o especial na cadeia de valor da soja, pois conectam os produtores a empresas de ra\u00e7\u00e3o animal e varejistas na parte inferior da cadeia. Para al\u00e9m da cadeia de valor, tamb\u00e9m operamos em um ecossistema complexo de stakeholders (partes interessadas) que inclui a sociedade civil, as lideran\u00e7as comunit\u00e1rias, os investidores e o setor p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n

Engajamento de fornecedores indiretos<\/span><\/h3>\n

Os agricultores s\u00e3o um stakeholder priorit\u00e1rio para o SCF, considerando o seu papel fundamental na cria\u00e7\u00e3o de mercados de soja sustent\u00e1veis. Promover a rastreabilidade <\/strong>at\u00e9 a<\/strong> parte mais <\/strong>superior<\/strong> da cadeia de abastecimento<\/strong> significa imprescindivelmente envolver produtores, mesmo que sejam fornecedores indiretos. Compreender a sua percep\u00e7\u00e3o e a realidade local \u00e9 fundamental para nos ajudar a criar e apoiar solu\u00e7\u00f5es que come\u00e7am no campo.<\/p>\n

Stakeholders do setor financeiro<\/span><\/h3>\n

O setor financeiro \u00e9 fundamental para impulsionar mudan\u00e7as nas cadeias de abastecimento de soja livre de desmatamento e de convers\u00e3o, e deve desempenhar um papel em desviar os fluxos financeiros dos modelos de desenvolvimento de alto risco. Neste contexto, atualmente o SCF est\u00e1 envolvido com o Grupo de Praticantes de Commodities<\/em> Sustent\u00e1veis dos Princ\u00edpios para Investimentos Respons\u00e1veis (Principles for Responsible Investment\u2019s Sustainable Commodities Practitioners\u2019 Group), uma rede de investidores apoiada pelas Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas, para dar <\/strong>feedback<\/em><\/strong> construtivo sobre a formula\u00e7\u00e3o da<\/strong> sua<\/strong> Pol\u00edtica de Desmatamento modelo e, assim, garantir que os investimentos sejam direcionados para neg\u00f3cios respons\u00e1veis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m disso, o SCF alocar\u00e1 recursos para as interven\u00e7\u00f5es na paisagem a fim de criar os incentivos financeiros necess\u00e1rios para limitar a convers\u00e3o do Cerrado. Iniciativas da Nacionais Europa em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 Soja (ENSI, European National Soya Initiatives)<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

A ENSI \u00e9 um conjunto de iniciativas da Europa voltadas ao apoio \u00e0 transi\u00e7\u00e3o para cadeias de fornecimento de soja sustent\u00e1veis. Estamos nos empenhando em estabelecer conversas produtivas com os representantes da ENSI para alinhar os nossos objetivos aos interesses do mercado europeu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

F\u00f3rum de Bens de Consumo (The Consumer Goods Forum)<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Conforme compromisso assumido em junho de 2021, as nossas rela\u00e7\u00f5es com empresas que fazem interface direta com os consumidores (como a Coliga\u00e7\u00e3o de A\u00e7\u00e3o para uma Floresta Positiva do F\u00f3rum de Bens de Consumo) ganharam for\u00e7a e levaram \u00e0 forma\u00e7\u00e3o de v\u00e1rios workshops<\/em> construtivos. No entanto, devemos estreitar essas rela\u00e7\u00f5es para buscar alinhamento com um conjunto de princ\u00edpios <\/strong>coletivos <\/strong>para a contabiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de soja DCF, e o desenvolvimento de oportunidades de investimento conjunto para interven\u00e7\u00f5es na paisagem do Cerrado<\/strong>. Estamos estabelecendo grupos de trabalho para focar em temas espec\u00edficos, como a defini\u00e7\u00e3o de indicadores comuns para medir o progresso do cultivo de soja DCF, e a identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de oportunidades coletivas para iniciativas nas paisagens.<\/p>\n

Ao longo de 2021, o nosso foco foi estabelecer uma colabora\u00e7\u00e3o construtiva entre o Soft Commodities Forum e o Grupo de Trabalho da Soja da Coliga\u00e7\u00e3o de A\u00e7\u00e3o para uma Floresta Positiva do F\u00f3rum de Bens de Consumo<\/em>. Com uma mentalidade compartilhada de confian\u00e7a e transpar\u00eancia, alcan\u00e7amos o equil\u00edbrio ideal entre discutir alinhamentos de longo prazo sobre alguns dos aspectos mais complexos ligados ao desmatamento e a convers\u00e3o de terra <\/em>impulsionados pelo<\/em> cultivo de soja, e tomar medidas de curto prazo sobre temas como regras comuns de monitoramento e chegar a um entendimento sobre as realidades e solu\u00e7\u00f5es para os riscos do ecossistema nas paisagens brasileiras<\/em>.<\/h4>\n

Atualmente, o Soft Commodities Forum \u00e9 uma das iniciativas mais bem posicionadas e eficazes para combater o desmatamento e a convers\u00e3o de terra. Temos interesse em entender, de um ponto de vista mais pr\u00e1tico, como podemos implementar juntos a nossa pol\u00edtica de investimentos anti-desmatamento. Em primeiro lugar, devemos avaliar se as traders e as suas cadeias de abastecimento est\u00e3o preparados para implementar e relatar sobre as solicita\u00e7\u00f5es da pol\u00edtica, especialmente em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 rastreabilidade. A presta\u00e7\u00e3o de contas de toda a cadeia de abastecimento e dos pr\u00f3prios investidores \u00e9 fundamental para gerenciar os eventos e riscos das mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas no local. Em segundo lugar, \u00e9 mais uma ocasi\u00e3o para come\u00e7ar a desenvolver os poss\u00edveis cen\u00e1rios de transi\u00e7\u00e3o para os locais onde houver ocorr\u00eancia de desmatamento<\/em>.<\/h4>\n
