At Viterra, we use geospatial data and tools daily to perform socio-environmental checks on all our suppliers and their rural properties that are linked with our commercialization. In the origination process, my mission is to provide guidance on the fundamental importance of environmental preservation and on the commitments we have with the entire value chain that involves our business.

Complying with the sustainability standards to achieve traceability and transparency in the commercialization of our products is today a priority in our work. To achieve our goals, we rely on a joint effort between the Commercial, Back-office and Sustainability areas so that we have suppliers that are increasingly engaged and committed to the market demands for a more sustainable product.

Aiming at the longevity of food production and in line with the company’s policy that intends to have a supply chain free from deforestation, we seek to establish partnerships with suppliers who are attentive to good agricultural practices and to the conservation of natural resources. The world needs more and more food and Brazil already produces a lot! Therefore, we have a duty to ensure that we can always produce better.
