DCF Performance Disclosure for 2021 and 2022
In 2022, LDC further reinforced and optimized our socio-environmental checks during the purchasing process, quipping commercial teams with data and more integrated systems to carry out suppliers’ checks. Besides the essential monitoring process, LDC is also working in partnerships to support farmers working toward regenerative agriculture. Aiming to promote sustainable pest management in Brazil, we developed a joint strategy with a major global biopesticide player, to encourage the use of those products among our supply chain. In addition to the traditional sales model, we intend to operate with “green barter”, a commercial mechanism in which biological inputs can be paid for after the harvest with grains.
